The video game Super Mario was developed by Nintendo and officially published by Nintendo Entertainment Sys. Super Mario was published in 1985 as a sequel of its basic game Mario which was published in 1983.The objective in the game Super Mario is to rescue The Princess Toadstool; it was latterly renamed as Princess Peach, from the enemy. And when you play in multiplayer mode you will see Mario’s younger brother Luigi.

Super Mario is the game which can be played by a person of any age. It’s a game that will make u kid once again. It has been two decades that the game Super Mario is best selling game in the world of gaming. Well, it was sold by WII Sports in 2009 but at the time of selling the game Super Mario has sold its record breaking 40.241 million copies around the globe. The game Super Mario came out as initial success for Nintendo Entertainment System. The success of the game has inspired many clones, sequels and different kind of Mario games e.g. Adventure Islander.

To bring the game to its success the game was produced for two different markets. The same game play as original which was named as Japanese sequel and the other one is Western sequel which was a little different from its original version. The power of Super Mario and his brother Luigi was one thing that made the 1980′s stand apart from any other time period. The mere fact that we were able to play a video game at home to the graphics quality that Super Mario Bros had at that time made the Nintendo Entertainment System the most powerful piece of plastic in the world.

Throughout the 1980′s kids and adults alike made round trips to their local arcades to play the best games of the time period. But, when Nintendo came out and the kids were able to stay at home, the arcades started to suffer. However, it wasn’t until the 1990′s when the arcade was fully replaced with home entertainment. And sure enough, Super Mario Brothers and Nintendo were leading the way with sequels and other great games and game systems.
