Question by ★Mavs in ’11★: What do we do about all these Mario Kart Wii hackers?
Mostly, all I do when I play Mario Kart Wii is go online. I’m a good driver and used to have an above 9000 rating. But with all these hackers and cheaters online “having fun” my rating has dropped to about 8600. I know that’s still good but I’m tired of running into hackers. I just laugh at it most of the time because it’s just a game and nothing more. But recently they’ve been popping up much more in battles and races. They have infinite items and do as they please. I don’t understand why the number of hackers is going up despite the latest Wii version 4.2′s Hebrew Channel ban.

Have y’all ever been in a race were u knock somebody off or they fall off somehow (usually purposely) then all of a sudden they appear in front of you as if they never fell off? This is not a lag im assuring you. They seem like regular drivers until they do it. The ability is really annoying especially when you lose your first place position to them.

I don’t get why people continue to hack their Wii’s with the constant risk of bricking it or semi-bricking it. If my Wii gets bricked, that’s it for me. I guess some people really have nothing better to do with their lives, are reckless despite knowing the risk or have the money (or really nice parents). I’ve decided not to hack my Wii. Watching DVDs and playing copyrighted CD burnt games isn’t worth losing your Wii.

Anyway, how do we get these people reported and banned from online play? There isn’t anyway to record your online races while playing the game. What could Nintendo even do about it? There are too many hackers and cheaters out there.

Oh yeah, do y’all know about the infamous Wii hacker Mr.Bean? Has he been banned from online play?

I was a wimp and quit MKW a while ago, but I agree. Nintendo doesn’t do a thing about it though, there are a lot of other games that hackers are on (ex: The Conduit).

I understand where your coming from, hackers make the game no fun. Nintendo really needs to crack down on these hackers and become more strict. I have never hacked my Wii, and I don’t plan on it, because what’s the point?

Stupid hackers…
